In Pursuit Of Motivation?

This post is written around the all time motivational movie of mine, The Pursuit of Happyness. The movie is based on a true story about a man named Christopher Gardner, played by my favorite actor Will Smith.

Chris is a salesman of device called Bone density scanner. He invested a good amount in buying these devices. But in his awful days his wife left him leaving behind his son, Gardner took his custody. And now he is looking for a steady job. Fortunately he got an opportunity to work as a stockbroker, but before he can receive pay, he needs to go through 6 months of training! And then lots of struggle and suffering in this time, but finally he got that moment which he called happiness!

I watched this movie for 5 times and each time it injects a heavy dose of motivation in me. Undoubtedly Will Smith has played his role perfectly; even Chris Gardner was amazed by seeing his acting. If you are struggling to get something in your life and lacking motivation then yes I want you to watch this movie at least once.

My favorite dialogues from the film:

Christopher Gardner: Hey. Don’t ever let somebody tell you… You can’t do something. Not even me. All right?
Christopher: All right.
Christopher Gardner: You got a dream… You gotta protect it. People can’t do somethin’ themselves, they wanna tell you you can’t do it. If you want somethin’, go get it.

Martin Frohm: What would you say if man walked in here with no shirt, and I hired him? What would you say?
Christopher Gardner: He must have had on some really nice pants.
